This article gives a brief overview of the Power User Interface to help you get familiar with the navigation and the intended role of power users. The sections below describe the out-of-the-box interface as shown for an admin user. For detailed information about using the interface, see the [Power User Guide](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43719588).

Power Users are automatically logged in to the interface based on their credentials. You can also select Power User from the Interface drop-down list on the Login page.

# Global Navigation

The first time you log in to the Power User Interface as an administrator, the Admin Welcome dashboard is displayed. The sections below describe the global navigation elements.

## 1– Navigation Bar

The navigation bar, or nav bar, shows a list of the tables in the selected grouping. A grouping is a collection of related tables that share a related purpose, like contract or template management. In the out-of-the-box system, the Contract Management group is shown by default. For more information on the table groups and types of tables in the system, see [Table Concepts](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SD/pages/44434023).

Use the menu icon on the left to access all of the groupings. You can also search for a specific table or view all tables.

Clicking a table name in the nav bar shows the [table view](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SD/pages/44434329/Power+User+Interface#PowerUserInterface-table_view).

![Table view](media://dfaeffc0-3b4d-4724-9953-2b8fe5130346)

You can also click the arrow next to a table name to access the table menu, which includes a subset of saved searches, a list of recently viewed records, the Charts/Reports menu, and the table Setup menu.

![Table menu](media://38a32d88-feca-4384-942e-58070667c6b0)

Only admin users have access to the Setup [Table] menu for customizing fields, screen layouts, automation rules, permissions, workflows, and more. For details on configuring tables, see [Table Wizard](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43714433) in the Help Guide.

## 2 – Global Search

The global search box at the top of the screen lets you search for text across all tables or a single table. The scope of the search is context-sensitive, depending on your location in the system. If you're on a home page or dashboard, the scope is set to All tables. If you're viewing a table, the scope is set to that table. You can click the drop-down icon to select a table or set it to All.

![Global search drop-down menu](media://900d7270-6b7e-4865-b214-bcf8d3b6248b)

For example, you could search All tables for a company name to find all records associated with that company. Or you could limit the search to Contracts to find only the Contract records related to that company. For more information on searching the system, see [Searching](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43714417) in the Help Guide.

## 3 – Top Toolbar

The top toolbar includes the KB name, Help menu, [Admin Setup Menu](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SD/pages/44434380), notification center access, and user options, including the user preferences, profile, language selection, and logout options. For information about the notification center, see [Using the Notification Center](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43718742) in the Help Guide. For details on the user menu options, see [User Menu](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43712698) in the Help Guide.

## 4 – Dashboard

Dashboards are the default landing or home pages for power users. The out-of-the-box Admin Welcome dashboard has links to the documentation and other resources. By default, for members of the admin group, clicking Home in the navigation bar returns you to the Admin Welcome dashboard, but you can set different preferences for instances of Home on your navigation bar.

Click the dashboard name to open the dashboard menu and see the list of all of the pre-built dashboards. For details about the out-of-the-box dashboards, see [Power User Dashboards](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/SD/pages/44434399).

![Dashboard menu](media://640fd6a4-6b24-4009-a0b4-e919522c8a7c)

From the dashboard menu, you can

- Select a dashboard to open it for viewing.
- Click New to create a dashboard.
- Click Edit to edit the current dashboard.
- Select Manage to open the list of dashboards with the option to edit them and set your default dashboard.
- Select Manage widgets to go to the widget library where you can edit, create, or delete widgets. The library includes all widgets in the system.

Table Navigation

Clicking a table name, for example Contracts, in the nav bar shows the table view. The sections below describe the components in table navigation.

![Table view of the Contracts table](media://290ea446-e497-4341-a89e-b2f1d0609082)

## 5 – Table Header

The table header shows the table name, followed by the name of the saved search that found the listed records, and the number of records found. Depending on the configuration of the saved search, there may also be Click for Details and Clear All Filters options next to the record count. Click for Details shows the search filters, and Clear All Filters runs the search again without the filters.

You can click the saved search name to view a menu of predefined saved searches as well as options to edit the current search or create a new one.

![Saved Search menu](media://fc3bc7d0-6454-49c5-877b-8cf325f40139)

From the saved search menu, you can

- Click New to create a saved search.
- Click Edit to edit the current search.
- Select Manage to open the list of all saved searches for the table, with options to edit, activate or deactivate searches, and define whether to show them in the navigation menu or your assigned list.
- Click Show All to display all records.
- Select another saved search to run that search and display the resulting records.

For more information on saved searches, see [Creating Saved Searches](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43716308) in the Help Guide.

## 6 – Table View

The table view lists the records in the table, with one row per record. The records that are displayed depend on the saved search selected in the table header.

![Table view for the Contracts table with the Drafts saved search](media://66b98415-17f1-4c73-8a2a-ff929601e870)

The columns and layout for the list of records is determined by the selected View. Views determine the way records are displayed in a table, such as the columns that are displayed, row ordering and colors, layout, and the number of records per page. Views allow individuals and teams to have their own settings for the same table. You can choose a different view by clicking Views in the action bar.

![Views menu in the action bar](media://7eae60bd-2714-4a9b-894d-2cb5997f7da4)

For more information on views, see [Views](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43719538) in the Help Guide.

## 7 – Action Bar

Action bars appear above table views, including, in many cases, related tables in other records. Action bars are toolbars with buttons and menus that allow users to perform actions like create new records, make bulk edits to records, switch the table view, or perform a [quick search](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43718348). For more information on action bars, see [Action Bars](https://agiloft-public.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/HELP/pages/43715639) in the Help Guide.

## 8 – Pagination

If the number of records in the table exceeds the Records Per Page value for the current view, the record list is paginated. Use the pagination options at the bottom of the table to navigate to other pages.
